The boy’s 6a basketball playoffs got underway last night with South Medford losing at home 60 to 53 to Centennial. North Medford also lost to the highly regarded Westview 77 to 57.
Fields Named SWC All Star
Grants Pass’s Ronnie Fields was named to the Southwest Conference All-Conference first team. Fields averaged over fifteen points a game.
Basketball & Wrestling
The Lady Warriors of New Hope Christian School lost a Division 1A playoff game to Country Christian of Mollala 67 to 48 Friday night. The County Christian Cougars came from five point deficit to claim the victory and a berth in the state playoffs next week in Baker.
In the Class 3A playoffs Regis turned up the defense and beat the Lady Chieftains of Rogue River 55 to 35. Alli Erhrhardt had 15 and Kelley Maxey added 11 for Rogue River.
Cavemen Lose to Roseburg; five win at state wrestling meet
10 Cavemen scored but it wasn’t enough to stop the playoff bound Indians as Roseburg beat Grants Pass 67 to 49 at Heater-Newman Memorial Gym Thursday night.
Cavemen, Cavers finish season tonight
Grants Pass High’s basketball season will end tonight, as the Cavemen face Roseburg in their season finale at Heater-Newman Memorial Gymnasium tonight.
The Grants Pass Lady Cavers are on the road at Roseburg.
