The boy’s 6a basketball playoffs got underway last night with South Medford losing at home 60 to 53 to Centennial. North Medford also lost to the highly regarded Westview 77 to 57.

Roseburg pulled out a road win to carry the SWC banner into the second round. The Indians beat 6th ranked Clackamas 73 to 67. Roseburg plays Lincoln Saturday with the winner going to the state tournament.

In boys 4a action last night Central beat Elmira 67 to 41. Central becomes the opponent for the Hidden Valley Mustangs this Saturday at Hidden Valley. The winner advances to the state tournament.
