Senior Morgan Barnes threw a no-hitter as the Grants Pass Lady Cavers opened the 2010 high school softball season with a 6-0 victory at McMinnville yesterday.

In a softball game in Merlin yesterday, Cascade Christian scored all 19 of its runs in the last three innings to beat North Valley 19-6 in a six-inning game.
