Medford’s Drug & Gang Enforcement Takes 6lbs. of Meth off the Street
Friday morning the Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement Team served a search warrant at a home in the 8000 Medford’s Drug & Gang Enforcement Takes 6lbs. of Meth off the Streetblock of Division Road in White City and seized 6 pounds of methamphetamine and over $30,000 in cash. Scales and packaging materials were also found on the premises.

Medford Water Commission Endeavors to Fence Out Algae Blooms
The Medford Water Commission employees are erecting nearly three miles of barbed wire fence around Willow Lake stretching from one edge of Willow Lake County Park to the other in an effort to stop free ranging cattle from entering the lake bed and wandering into the park’s campgrounds. It is hoped the fence will keep the cattle’s nitrogen-rich cowpies out of the lake and reduce blue-free algae blooms.

Rogue Suction Dredge-Miners May Be Limited because of Mercury Levels
The recent discovery of elevated levels of mercury in the Rogue River’s pikeminnow could regulate suction-dredge miners off 216 miles of the Rogue River and other Oregon streams beginning next year.
