Police Search for Assailant
Grants Pass Police are searching for Matt G. Cortez, 56, following an alleged assault on a woman at the Gospel Rescue Mission Wednesday evening about 7:38. At that time officers were dispatched to 530 southwest Foundry to investigate the report of a man going into the mission and committing the assault.

An elk hunter missing for two days in eastern Coos County was found alive with no major injuries.
