South Middle School Evacuated Following Bomb Threat
All students and personnel are safe after a bomb threat was received at South Middle Schools Tuesday afternoon. The school followed its emergency response guide and the evacuation to the Mormon Church on the Williams highway.

Medford Man Sentenced to 4-1/2 Years for Assault & DUII
Benjamin Grant Thurman, 33, of Medford, Monday entered guilty pleas to two counts of third-degree assault and one count of driving under the influence of intoxicants as part of a plea deal. Judge Tim Barnack ruled Thurman would serve 54 months in the Oregon Department of Corrections.
Ashland Man Arrested for Attempted Murder
Benjamin Williamson called Ashland Police Monday night to turn himself in to authorities and was subsequently charged with attempted murder, 1st and 2nd degree assault and was lodged in the Jackson County jail.

Burglars make off with $30,000 in property from Medford home
Burglars managed to get away with $30,000 worth of property when they broke into a home in the 2,600 block of Hillcrest Road in Medford in the early morning hours on Saturday.
