Lightning & Thunder Storms Miss Josephine and Jackson County

New Record High Temperature Set Tuesday: 109 Degrees
A building high pressure system sent thermometers climbing Tuesday, smashing the previous recorded high by four degrees. The temperature was officially 109 degrees late in the afternoon, eclipsing the previous high mark of 105, last reached in 1967 and earlier in 1942.
