Reeves Creek Fire Grows to 100 Acres
The wildfire south of Selma in the Reeves Creek area has grown to 100 acres buring to the northeast as firefighters go into night time mode when the helicopters and are tankers can longer fly. The fire is visible from Lake Selmac
Power Outage in Grants Pass & Williams
Pacific Power has reported a power outage affecting 4,089 customers in the 97517 and 97544 zip codes. The estimated time of restoration is 10:30 p.m. No cause for the outage has yet been determined.
Wildfire Reported in the Reeves Creek Area South of Selma-UPDATED
A wildfire has been reported in the Reeves Creek Area south of Lake Selmac 20 to 25 acres in size as of the last report. ODF has two helicopters on scene and one more ordered along with air tankers. Reeves Creek Road is closed at highway 199 and Lake Shore Drive with only emergency traffic allowed through. There has been no evacuation order but residents are voluntarily evacuating their livestock.
Additional Charge Levied against Arson Suspect
An additional arson charge has been filed against Debra Irene Johns, 57, who was arrested Thursday night in connection with a string of suspected arson fires in Medford.

A fire in the Kane Creek Drainage six miles south of Gold Hill and roughly two miles northeast of Timber Mountain was contained to two acres today by the Oregon Department of Forestry.

Weekend Trooper’s Incident Log
A pursuit of a brown Chevrolet sport utility vehicle by a State Trooper early this morning resulted in the SUV being driven off road onto private property and down an embankment and being abandoned along the river in the area of Daisey Hill Road in Cave Junction. The pursuit began when the Trooper observed the driver talking on a cell phone while driving on Highway 199. No arrest has been made.
