According to the Oregon State Police’s daily desk log a Trooper was dispatched to a retail establishment Tuesday morning when Bradford Cravath Goshorn, 28, of Grants Pass attempted to purchase a firearm. The state of Wyoming listed an in-state only warrant for his arrest. He was cited and released for false swearing and a report was forwarded to the District Attorney
Stabbing in Pear Blossom Park sends two to the hospital
A stabbing in Pear Blossom Park at roughly 8:00 p.m. Tuesday sent two people to the hospital.
OSP continue investigation of truck crash on I-5 near Grants Pass
The Oregon State Police are continuing their investigation into the crash of semi-truck on Interstate 5 southbound at milepost 70 at approximately 12:50 p.m. Tuesday.
Search Continues for Shawn May of Medford
The Jackson County Sheriff’s office is continuing the search for Shawn May, 42, of Medford, who was last seen Friday afternoon around 5:30 in the Prospect area. According to the last known contact with Mr. May, he was going to use the back roads to return to Medford.
Arrest Made in Merlin Shooting
One man is in the hospital and two arrests were made after the Oregon State Troopers responded to a shooting at 535 Pleasant Valley Road north of Merlin Monday night at 9:23.
Hit & Run Suspect Arrested
A tip provided to the Oregon State Police helped lead to the arrest of the driver involved in an early Saturday morning pedestrian-involved serious injury hit & run crash on Highway 62 in White City. The involved vehicle was also located and seized pending the ongoing investigation.
Lunar Eclipse Visible in Southern Oregon Early Wednesday
The National Weather Service has announced a lunar eclipse will occur early Wednesday morning. The eclipse will not feature a smothering darkness with a band of light around the perimeter. The event will begin around 2:15 a.m. with a shadow, cast by the earth, gradually shimmering up to a reddish hue between 3:30 and 4:30 a.m. The reddish hue is caused by sunlight being filtered through the atmosphere.
Commissioners set to approve land use for Sunny Valley mining operation
The Josephine County Commissioners during their Wednesday Weekly Business Session at 5:30 p.m. in the Anne Basker Auditorium are set to vote on the approval of the land use applications for the Sunny Valley Aggregate Mining Operation.
