Medford Man Killed in his Tent by Fallen Tree in Bear Creek Park
Around 2:30am Saturday, Medford Police and medical personnel responded to Bear Creek Park upon report of a large tree falling on an occupied tent. Two individuals camping nearby had called in the report.

Pacific Power Crews Gain on Power Outage
Pacific Power reports significant gains have been made in restoring power after the windstorm pushed trees into power lines depriving up to 25,000 customers in Southern Oregon, Northern California and in the Willamette Valley. As of this report only 1,500 customers remain without power.

Pacific Power continues to restore power to customers in Southern Oregon after Saturday’s windstorm. Due to the severity and widespread nature of the damage, Pacific Power does not have estimated times of restoration.

Jackson County to Help Fund RCC Job Training

Early Morning Wind Knocks Power Off for 1,400+, Now Restored
A wet weather system accompanied by significant winds knocked power out for 1,425 Pacific Power customers around 6 a.m. Saturday morning. The customers affected were in the Williams/South Grants Pass area, zip codes 97527 and 97544.

City of Grants Pass Weekly Recap
The Grants Pass City Police executed 68 arrests and issued 55 citations this week while 911 answered 1,138 calls and dispatch handled 551 calls for service.

The nuisance intervention team made 13 contacts and issued four warnings, 4 citations and made three arrests.
