Retardant Bomber Traffic over the Valley Refueling for Port Orford Fire
Citizens concerned about the retardant bombers flying over the Rogue Valley should relax, but remain vigilant. The bombers are assisting with a 50-acre fire in the Port Orford area, that reportedly is almost under control.

During a Wednesday afternoon news conference, Jackson County Sheriff Mike Winters confirmed that two deputies shot and killed 74-year-old Earl Harris at his home outside Ashland at 36 Mistletoe Road Tuesday morning.
Troopers Seek Public Help in Locating Driver of Stolen Acura that Eluded Authorities Tuesday Night
The Oregon State Police are asking for the public’s help in locating Joshua Trevon Munoz, 19, of Lake Stevens, Washington. Munoz is suspected of driving the stolen 2004 Acura TL during a high speed pursuit along Interstate 5 between Phoenix and Medford last night.

State Police to Lead Investigation into Officer Involved Shooting in Ashland
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and Oregon State Police are investigating an officer involved shooting in Ashland. Deputies were called to 35 Mistletoe Road at 10:05a.m. today. At some point shots were fired, at least one of which by an officer or deputy, and personnel from law enforcement agencies as far north as Central Point responded.
