Prescription Drug Take-Back Saturday
Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. the public will have the opportunity to safely dispose of expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs, including pet medications by taking them to the Justice Building at 101 Northwest ‘A” Street in the lobby of the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety. The medications will be safely disposed of and the service is completely anonymous.

Michael Alan Martinho, 33, of Cave Junction has been arrested and charged with seven different counts of sex abuse charges involving three victims, all under the age of 12, that occurred

Trooper Log for 9/25/14
Thursday at 5:49 p.m. Mark Alonzo Woosley, 47, of Albany, lost control of his green Volkswagen Jetta at milepost 77 in the southbound lanes of Interstate-5 and slid off the freeway. No injury was reported and there was no damage to state property. The Jetta had to be towed.
CJ man arraigned on murder charge
A Cave Junction man was arraigned in Josephine County Circuit Court Wednesday on a charge of murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

The Onion Mountain Fire burning 15 miles west of Grants Pass is listed at 95 percent containment today.
Easley Sentenced to Life
Donald Lee Easley was sentenced to life in prison with parole possible after 25 years this afternoon by Judge Pat Wolke. Easley was found guilty of murder last Thursday in the shooting death of Laron Estes on September 7th of 2013.
