OLCC Blocks Microbrew Contests
The OLCC has decided to enforce a law that would make home-brew beer and wine contests illegal, and would also make transporting your own brews to a friends house against the law.

Grants Pass American Legion Games

The Grants Pass American Legion Diggers A team had been scheduled to host the Roseburg Pepsi team for a double header this morning at eleven but those games have been cancelled.

The Grants Pass Nuggets will host the Eugene Challengers in a double header tonight at Agnew Lytle Field in the All Sports Park. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:00pm.

Berry Rock Fire Hand Lined
The 60-acre Berry Rock fire is now 100 percent hand lined and about ten percent mopped up. 12 hand crews are still working the fire including one inmate crew.

BLM Forester Gets 3 Years
Luis Ramirez, 57, was sentenced to three years in prison Monday in Federal court in Medford. He was also sentenced to three more years probation, and ordered to repay BLM $481,602.47 that he embezzled while a contract officer.

Sprignett, Berry Rock fires 100 percent lined
The 15-acre Sprignett Fire, located 12 miles northeast of Rogue River, is now 100 percent lined and 100 percent mopped up this afternoon, according to Brian Ballou from the Oregon Department of Forestry.

The 60-acre Berry Rock Fire was manned with seven hand crews and three engines last night, and it is now 100 percent hand-lined.

Berry Rock is located three miles northeast of Trail.

Body of missing teen found in river
The body of 18-year-old Shane Patrick Marshall was reportedly been found in the Rogue River downstream from Grants Pass Sunday afternoon.

Berry Rock Fire Grows to 60 Acres
More than 100 firefighters are working to contain the Berry Rock fire, 3 miles northeast of Trail, which has grown to 60 acres. An air tanker has been dropping retardant on the fire this morning and a second tanker has been ordered.

Corporate Donation Benefits Habitat for Humanity
JP Morgan Chase Bank donated a three unit, converted home in West Medford to Habitat for Humanity. Unable to sell the unit the bank offered to sell it to Habitat, but because of the condition of the dwelling Habitat countered saying they would take it if it was donated. The bank said okay.
