Medford Murder Suspect Arrested!
Medford Police have arrested Jose “Pepe” Valencia-Gaona just before noon today and charged with the murder of Maria Rodriguez last Sunday. His bail is set at $1 million.

October Arraignment Set for former Troon Vineyard Director & Girl Friend
Former Troon Vineyard director Christopher Martin and Jessica Stoble will enter pleas next month in Nevada on federal charges that they engaged in sex acts during a commercial airline flight from Medford to Las Vegas on June 21st.
Tuesday Sheriff’s Office incidents
A male and female were found unconscious near the waste water treatment plant on Sawyer Avenue. Deputies managed to awake the pair and they were warned regarding their behavior.
Douglas Complex Contained
The Douglas Forest Protective Association declared the Douglas Complex Fires 100 percent contained yesterday. The Type 3 Incident Command Team, led by DFPA, will remain in place to continue mop up operations, work on rehab projects, and patrol the fire lines. One hundred and sixty-two firefighters remain assigned to the incident to complete these objectives.
Despite the incident being fully contained, smoke from the interior of the fire will be visible until fall rains return and extinguish them.

Troopers Bust 5 DUII Drivers over the Labor Day Weekend
State Troopers working the Grants Pass worksite reported 5 Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicant arrests over the Labor Day weekend. Statewide, Troopers made 54 arrests.
