6th Street Coffee & Deli Robber Linked to Radio Shack Holdup
Detectives investigating the robbery of the 6th Street Coffee and Deli Tuesday morning learned their primary suspect, Edward Lee Adams, 34, was also responsible for the robbery of Radio Shack on January 6th and added a charge of second degree robbery.

School’s Stolen iPads Recovered
Three iPads, stolen from the Mountain View Elementary School in White City January 13th have been recovered and four juveniles were cited for second degree burglary, first degree theft, criminal mischief and reckless endangering.

Commissioners approve purchase of seeds for reforestation
The Josephine County Commissioners during their Wednesday business session approved the purchase of $126,000 worth of Douglas fir seeds for use in reforestation of county land.

Medford Man Cleared of All Sex Abuse Charges
The Jackson County District Attorney’s office, in the interest of justice, has dropped all charges against Kenneth Daniel Reynolds, 38. He had been accused of raping a developmentally delayed neighbor.

Wednesday Controlled Burns
Four controlled burns by the Oregon Department of Forestry are scheduled today in our region.

Three acres are being burned in the Westside Road area, two miles northwest of Cave Junction; five acres, four miles southwest of Cave Junction are being torched, while an additional acre is being targeted seven miles west of Grants Pass off of Riverbanks Road.

ODOT & Jackson County Agree Over Highway 99 Redesign
Jackson County officials said yesterday they have no problem with the ODOT plan that will eliminate two traffic lanes on Highway 99 between Phoenix and Talent to better accommodate bicyclists and improve safety.
