Felon Sentenced to 28 Months for Firearm Possession & Assault
Kevin William Keim was sentenced to 28 months in the Department of Corrections by Judge Wolke today. Keim pled guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm and 3rd degree assault constituting domestic violence.

Judge Wolke sends message to heroin users with robbery sentence
Judge Pat Wolke today sentenced 22-year-old Bryan Lee Malek to three years in the Oregon Department of Corrections for his participation in a robbery that occurred in the morning hours of Aug. 19, 2013.

Utility Fee Increase Decision Delayed by Medford Council
The Medford City Council has decided to postpone a decision on an increase in utility fees until January in hopes the contributions to the state Public Employees Retirement System won’t be as high as expected, freeing up money for public works.

County Commissioners Approve Letters to Governor Accepting SRS Funding Extension
The Josephine County Commissioners, during their weekly business session Wednesday night in the Anne Basker Auditorium, approved two letters to be sent to Governor Kitzhaber accepting the one year extension of the Secure Rural Schools and Communities Self Determination Act.
