Limited Schedule for County Buses on Tuesday
Most Josephine County offices will return to a business usual schedule Tuesday with the exception of Community Transit. Many area thoroughfares remain, if not ice covered, still have significant patches of ice still making travel hazardous.

Walden’s Medford Office Flooded by Broken Water Main
U.S. Rep Greg Walden’s Medford office was temporarily closed today after a water main broke due to cold temperatures in southern Oregon. The burst pipe partially flooded the office, and water and heat have been turned off for the entire building.

MADGE & ICE Raid Results in Arrest & the Seizure of Almost 6 lbs. of Meth
The serving of a search warrant Friday morning resulted in the arrest of Manuel Gastelum-Ferro, 35, the seizure of 5.91 pounds of methamphetamine and over $17,000.

School District No. 7 Board reviews charter school application
The Grants Pass School District No. 7 Board during their meeting Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. in the district’s administration building at 725 N.E. Dean Drive will review a proposition for the district to support the Inn Sight Alternative High School as a charter school.

ODOT to Fix Traffic Lights at Talent’s Former Wal-Mart Location
The Talent Wal-Mart closed 16 months ago, but the traffic lights at the intersection with West Valley View Road designed to accommodate the heavy retail traffic remain on the same sequence, frustrating drivers who wait long periods with little or no cross traffic from electric vehicle manufacture Brammo, who purchased the building from Wal-Mart.

Courts, Clerk & Recorders Office Open; Rest of the County Closed
Josephine County Circuit Courts are open today in addition to the County Clerk’s office and the Recorder’s office. The Clerk’s and Recorder’s office must be open by law if the Courts are open.
