Forestry Positive on Fire Outlook Friday Night.
The Oregon Department of Forestry has a positive outlook on the fires currently burning in Southern Oregon this evening.
According to a spokesperson none of fires are over 10 acres and the winds that picked up Friday afternoon were actually helpful by pushing the fire back onto itself. None of the fires have accelerated or gotten away from the firefighters so far. At this time no structures are threatened and the fire fighters have ample resources to draw on.
The line of thunderstorms that went through Southern Oregon last night ignited at least 80 fires in the region, which includes Josephine, Douglas, Jackson, Klamath and Curry counties.
