Tighter restrictions placed on Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest
Tighter restrictions have been placed on the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest due to increased risk of fire danger.
Restrictions include: campfires or stove fires are only allowed in concrete or metal rings or in designated recreation sites; smoking is only allowed inside an enclosed vehicle or building, in a three feet diameter area void of vegetation or on an operating watercraft; vehicles may only be driven on Forest Service Roads clear of vegetation or a watercraft may be run on the water and no welding equipment may be used.
Portable or self-contained stoves using liquefied or bottled fuels may still be used.
For information on designated campgrounds where fires are allowed contact a local Ranger District Office or go to their website.
