Child Porn on Phone Leads to Arrest of I.T. Worker
An investigation into an unrelated property crime led to the arrest of Rondee Quinton Businger, 42, of Medford on charges of distributing child pornography.
Investigators were examining a cellphone in a property case and found evidence of the crime connected to Businger. The Southern Oregon High-Tech Crimes Task Force was called in, and they obtained a search warrant for Businger’s home in the 3700 block of Sherwood Park Drive.
Investigators seized digital evidence showing that Businger had allegedly possessed and distributed several images of child pornography. The authorities do not believe any of the images are of local children.
Businger, who has a background in information technology was jailed and is being held on $500,000 bail.
