Medford P.D. Makes Arrest after Locating Counterfeit Currency
Saturday afternoon Motel 6 staff notified the Medford police department they had located a bag of money after two men had checked out of one of their rooms.

Police recovered the bag which contained over $3,000 in counterfeit currency in various denominations.


While officers were still at the scene the two suspects returned in a vehicle, parked and ran into a nearby motel. They then fled into the Alba baseball fields. More officers arrived and located Adam Burnett, 24. The second suspect was not located.

Bennett was lodged on 10 counts of Forgery, criminal possession of forged instruments in the first degree, and probation violation.

His tan 1994 Jeep Cherokee was also seized.

An agent from the United States Secret Service is assisting with the investigation.
