Rogue Cancels Rocky Horror after Threat of Lawsuit
The Rogue Theater has cancelled its annual showing of the Rocky Horror Picture show after threats of a lawsuit alleging copyright infringement.
According to various websites 20th Century Fox filed a complaint in an Oregon Federal Court demanding compensation for the Rogue Theaterís acts. According to the complaint, the movie studio first warned the theater three years ago, but the screenings continued until this year.
The Rogue management stated in an e-mail to the Daily Courier that since the show was cancelled, Fox would not pursue the lawsuit.
