State Police have arrested Jason Barnes, 35, of Grants Pass following a Sunday morning stabbing of two people at a residence at 210 Northwest Woodbrook Drive.
Troopers were dispatched at 4:27 a.m. to the reported stabbing and found Robert Barnes, 43, and his wife, Cynthia, 45, with non-life threatening stab wounds. Both were transported to Three Rivers Community Hospital.
The preliminary investigation indicated the couple lived at the residence with Jason, who was reportedly intoxicated and causing a disturbance. Robert was attempting to calm the suspect when he was stabbed in the abdomen. While trying to help Cynthia was stabbed in the leg.
Jason Barnes was lodged in the Josephine County Jail for 2nd degree assault and two counts of unlawful use of a dangerous weapon.
Information about the suspectís relationship to the injured couple is not available at this time.
