High Speed Chase Lands Medford Fugitives in Linn County Jail
Michael Del Curry, 36, of Medford has been lodged in the Linn County Jail after leading State Troopers on a high speed chase up I-5. He faces multiple charges including 2nd degree criminal mischief, hit and run, reckless endangerment, and 3rd degree assault in addition to a Jackson county warrant.

Shortly after 4 p.m. Sunday Troopers received a report of a silver 2001 BMW S.U.V. striking the rear corner of a semitrailer on Interstate 5 near milepost 204 in the Coburg area, then leaving the scene.

Troopers spotted the BMW on the freeway about 20 miles north and attempted to stop it but it raced away at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour. Troopers followed it through the Albany area for about 10 minutes until Curry lost control, hit a guard rail and collided with a 2010 Acura with four people inside.

Curry’s passenger, Angelina Maxine Tomburello, 22, also of Medford was also arrested on Jackson county warrants and providing false information to police.

The four people in the Acura, including two children, were treated at the Salem Hospital and released.
