Saturation DUII Patrols Throughout Southern Oregon
Police Agencies from Douglas County all the way to the California border and beyond will be rigorously looking for impaired drivers through the New Year’s holiday, including the Oregon State Troopers, the Grants Pass City Police and all agencies in Jackson County.
Most departments are receiving federal grants from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to crack down on impaired drivers, by paying officers overtime when those hours are dedicated to nabbing drunk drivers.
Authorities say if you have two drinks or more there is a good chance you’ll be stopped and arrested. The Jackson County Sheriff’s traffic team remind you a DUII ticket will run you $1,000 at least.
