Medford School District Labor Dispute with Teachers Turning Ugly
Negative e-mails and letters are being sent to members of the Medford School Districtís board. Most have been characterized as passionate expressions of frustration.
Chairman of the Board, Jeff Thomas says he is averaging receiving about 15 letters a day. Many of them are anonymous and one postcard had a photo of a man in his underwear with a gun.
The District and the teachers Education Association have held three negotiating sessions since the board implemented the latest contract on December 20th without the unionís approval. Tuesday the district asked the Associationís bargaining team to present the districtís latest offer to its members, but the union has yet to respond.
