Lake Shore Drive crash in Selma sends two to the hospital-UPDATED
A two-vehicle crash at 1577 Lake Shore Drive in Selma at approximately 7:00 p.m. Wednesday sent two women to the hospital.
According to the Oregon State Police, the crash was a head-on collision between a 2005 Dodge pickup driven by a 54-year-old Suzanne Vautier and a passenger car driven by a 22-year-old Ashley Acremant. The Vautier was transported by ground ambulance to Three Rivers Medical Center with minor injuries. The Acremant had to be extricated by Illinois Valley Fire District firefighters and she was then transported by a Mercy Flights air ambulance to Rogue Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
Troopers from Grants Pass and the Central Point OSP offices are continuing the investigation into the crash.
Lake Shore Drive was blocked for two hours while emergency crews cleared the scene.
