Judge hands down prison time for bedroom assault
Judge Pat Wolke today sentenced a man who entered a womanís bedroom and then got into a fight with another man.

53-year-old Jeff Binder pled and was sentenced to 35 months prison time on charges of unlawful use of a weapon, fourth-degree assault and menacing.

Binder entered a womanís home in the 1100 block of S.W. Isham Street last October. According to a report from the Department of Public Safety, Binder knew the woman and while in the bedroom he was in an altercation with another man. The man received a cut and the woman told police Binder had cut him with a knife.

Binderís attorney, Chris Mecca, told the court that Binder did not have a knife that day and that his client was a good man.

Binder will be eligible for programs while in prison.
