Three-alarm fire levels historic building in Medford
A three-alarm fire Wednesday at 1:45 a.m. totally destroyed a historic building at 220 N. Fir St. in Medford.
Medford Fire-Rescue responded with 11 engines in cooperation with other area fire departments and they fought the blaze throughout the morning.
The historic building was built in 1929 and was a former fruit-packing plant.
In order to investigate further, firefighters must utilize heavy equipment today in order to stabilize and remove walls to determine what caused the fire.
No injuries were reported and no adjacent businesses were damaged by the flames.
