New elected officials for both the Josephine County Board of Commissioners and the Grants Pass City Council are being sworn into their positions Monday.

Cheryl Walker and Keith Heck are being sworn in as Josephine County Commissioners at 8:00 a.m. in the Anne Basker Auditorium. The new commissioners get right to work with a general discussion scheduled at 9:00 in the Court House Conference Room.

The Grants Pass City Council convenes at 11:45 a.m. in Council Chambers. The agenda for the workshop includes a farewell to the departing mayor and councilors followed by the swearing in of the new mayor and councilors. Also on the agenda is a proposed tree retention and tree canopy ordinance, a water bond sale and discussion on Grants Pass’ Metropolitan Planning Organization membership.
