Suspicious Circumstances Surround Reported Ashland Assault
Ashland Police took a man into custody and admitted him to the hospital for a mental evaluation after the report of an assault at Hunter Park.

Authorities were informed a man had been cut on his forearm. A suspect was described as in his 20’s about five feet 11 inches tall and about 180 pounds carrying a large hiking knife.

Police located a man matching that description, who was determined to be under the influence of drugs and had a laceration of his upper left arm.

Investigators determined the injury was most likely self-inflicted and had him hospitalized.
