Medford Police Nab Robbery Suspect in Minutes
Eli Richard Williams, a 32-year old Medford transient is in the Jackson County jail this morning under a $2 million bail for allegedly robbing the Albertson’s pharmacy on West Main Street Wednesday night at 7:36.
Witnesses reporting the robbery provided the dispatcher a description of the suspect. That description was broadcast to field officers and a detective spotted a person matching the description at West Main Street and Reager Street.
That person was identified as Williams. He was contacted and the stolen items were found on his person.
Williams allegedly approached two employees at the pharmacy and presented a note demanding specific narcotic drugs, money and advising he had a gun. He made off with two bottles of oxycodone but no cash. All the drugs were recovered.
