Two Measure 11 probation violators sentenced to prison time
Two probation violators were sentenced by Judge Pat Wolke today to multiple years in prison.
22-year-old Jade Yandell was sentenced by Wolke to five years and three months in prison for violating probation on charges of second-degree assault, second-degree animal abuse, menacing and strangulation.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Yandell early last July after he struck his girlfriend with a log, choked her and kicked her dog multiple times.
Yandell violated probation just a few weeks later when Sheriff’s deputies responded to his home where he was intoxicated and combative. He was additionally charged with resisting arrest.
28-year-old Alysha Scriber was sentenced by Wolke to three years and one month in prison for violating probation on a second-degree assault charge.
Scriber broke a glass on another woman’s face at the Herb’s La Casita property in December of 2011. She received a downward departure during sentencing and was sentenced to 30 days originally.
Public Safety officers arrested Scriber again early last September after she became intoxicated and wrestled with her boyfriend who slipped on a spilt bottle of laundry detergent. Scriber was charged with fourth-degree assault for this incident.
