Medford P.D. Bust U.S. Marshal Impersonator
Medford Police were called to the Rogue Regional Medical Center to take a report of fraud that occurred in early October of last year.
On October 5th, a man dressed as a U.S. Marshal, wearing a black tactical uniform, tactical vest, badge and holster with no gun entered the emergency room, alleged he was transporting a fugitive which caused him anxiety and obtained services but never paid the bill, over $1,000. The name he supplied was false.
Recently a hospital employee was searching through online jail photographs and saw the person in question.
It was Donald Lee Anderson Junior, a convicted felon and well known scam artist who had been in custody since January 2nd for parole violation.
A search of his residence yielded the U.S. Marshal tactical vest, badge and body armor. It is unknown how Anderson obtained the uniform.
He now faces additional charges of ID theft, criminal impersonation of a Peace Officer and being a felon in possession of body armor.
