Hudson Murder Trial Underway
The trial of Kiley Hudson, accused of murdering his neighbor, 60-year-old Gary M. Salomon during a heated argument last July 11th on Yorktown Road got underway at the Josephine County Courthouse yesterday with opening arguments and the cross examination of the first two witnesses.

Clifford Eggleston, a neighbor, was the second witness to testify, following the victim’s mother. He testified he had observed Salomon outside many times with an oxygen tank, he didn’t look well, and shuffled his feet instead of picking them up.

On July 11th Eggleston testified he heard angry shouting and when investigating saw Hudson and Salomon physically engaged and grabbed Hudson to get them apart.

The prosecution showed Eggleston his police interview when his story was that Hudson re-engaged with Salomon. Eggleston said he could not remember what he said during the interview.

The trial continues today with Eggleston’s wife on the witness stand.
