Commissioners Deny CPI Increase for Non-Union Employees
The Josephine County Commissioners denied non-union county employees a 1.7 percent pay increase. The amount was tied to the Consumer Price Index.
Commissioner Heck stated he understood those employees had not had an increase in four years and he took that into consideration and then made the motion not to approve it that was passed unanimously.
During the course of the meeting and in matters from commissioners the Friday Public Hearing in the matter of forming a taxing district for law enforcement services was discussed with Commissioner Walker urging public participation. If citizens are unable to attend the 9:00 a.m. hearing in the Anne Basker Auditorium suggestions and comments may be submitted in writing to the county commissioners.
