Injured Hawk Euthanized
The Hawk retrieved from Cherry Street in Medford Tuesday afternoon that had an apparent gunshot wound to the wing was euthanized after wildlife officials determined its wing could not be repaired.

Authorities suspect the bird was shot with a pellet rifle from a range of about 150 feet, and are looking for two younger males witnesses reported seeing in the area with what appeared to be a pellet rifle.

Suspects face potentially serious federal charges for killing a protected bird. .
