Drivers pile up on I-5 due to slick roads
Four separate vehicle crashes occurred on I-5 at milepost 66 within an hour of each other beginning at 7:20 a.m. Wednesday.

The first crash occurred when 23-year-old Kelsey Alene Curtis was driving her 2005 Honda Civic southbound when she lost control of her vehicle. The Honda crashed into a guardrail on the center median and partially blocked one lane. Curtis was cited for speeding.

Roughly 20 minutes later, a 1999 Ford Contour driven by 27-year-old Jose Anthony Velez crashed into a bright yellow ODOT truck that was parked with an arrow board to divert cars around the previous accident. Velez was cited for speeding.

A 2009 Toyota Camry driven by 53-year-old Milo G. Lee was traveling southbound a few minutes later when he lost control on icy conditions and rolled his vehicle off the shoulder of the interstate.

Lastly at 8:10 a.m., a 2007 Chevy Malibu driven by 24-year-old Garcia Arturo slid on the ice and crashed into a barrier causing moderate front end damage to his vehicle.

No injuries were reported in any of these incidents.
