Medford P.D. Arrests Suspect Linked to 3 Attempted Kidnappings
Medford Police arrested Fidel Flores-Avalos, 39, of Talent, on a charge of attempted kidnapping in the second degree after a third victim was able to supply a license plate number.

The first attempted kidnap occurred January 13th in the Medford Center when a woman reported a Hispanic male tried to physically push her into a white Jeep Cherokee while she was walking through the parking lot. She was able to escape unharmed.

The second incident was on January 17th when police were called to the area of east Main and Almond where a suspicious man attempted to lure a woman into his vehicle. That attempt was interrupted by an unknown man and the suspect left. The description of the suspect and his vehicle closely matched the first incident.

Saturday afternoon Police responded to East Main and Genesse to the report of a man attempting to talk a woman into his vehicle. This time the woman supplied authorities with a license plate number that led to an address in Talent where police contacted Flores-Avalos.

His bail is set at $5,000.
