Suspect arraigned for allegedly perpetrating brutal beating
A suspect in a brutal beating case was arraigned today in Josephine County Circuit Court.

According to a probable cause affidavit, witnesses saw 42-year-old Ronald Wesley Friddle start an unprovoked attack by punching Dennis Varga in the face on Nov. 10, 2012. The punch knocked Varga into a ditch where he lost conciousness. Friddle allegedly continued punching Varga until he fractured an eye socket and he stomped on Varga’s chest leaving a boot-heel shaped bruise.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Friddle Tuesday and he is held in jail on $50,000 bail.
