Author and Vietnam veteran Karl Marlantes, who wrote Times bestsellers Matterhorn: A Novel of the Vietnam War and What it is Like to Go to War, will appear at the Rogue Community College Redwood Campus in Grants Pass for a book signing today from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Rogue Auditorium.

Marlantes writes about his experiences in Vietnam, how those experiences went beyond the battlefield and had lasting effects in his life and how we could better prepare our young soldiers for the rigors and stresses of war.

The book signing is presented by the Josephine Community Libraries Incorporated. Tickets are $5 per person to the general public and free to financially contributing library members who show their member sticker. Tickets are on sale at all Community Library branches and the Oregon Books & Games store in Grants Pass.
