A suspect with multiple felony warrants was apprehended by the Oregon State Police after taking at least two law enforcement agencies on a vehicle pursuit on Williams Highway.

The chase began at approximately 1:50 p.m. today on Williams Highway south of the Redwood Highway when officers began pursuing a blue GMC Yukon according to a witness.

Lieutenant Dennis Ward with the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety says officers terminated pursuit but eventually OSP troopers located, pursued and apprehended the suspect on W. Harbeck Avenue about 10 minutes after the chase began.

The suspect, 38-year-old Anthony James Colgate, was arrested on two felony warrants for first-degree theft and possession of meth. Additional charges are likely pending.
