GP Police Search for Armed Robber
The Grants Pass Department of Public Safety is searching for the man who brandished a handgun while robbing the River City Grill and Rotisserie at 150 Southeast K Street Sunday night about 9:10.

A 911 caller reported an armed robbery in progress at the restaurant. The caller said a man entered the establishment with a handgun and hit an employee in the head with the firearm.

Several patrons attempted to intervene but stopped and fled when the gun was pointed at them.

Police were on the scene within two minutes of the original call but were unable to find the suspect after a search of the area.

The suspect is described as a 30 to 40-year-old white male adult, five foot ten to six feet tall weighing around 200 pounds last seen wearing dark clothing.

Anyone with additional information should call Detective Pete Jenista at 541-450-6260.

AMR personnel treated the 54-year-old female employee for significant swelling and bruising to the face and head.
