Two Seattle men are facing marijuana charges after they were found in possession of 40 pounds of marijuana in a Grants Pass motel parking lot.


Monday at noon Rogue Area Drug Enforcement Detectives were called to assist Grants Pass Police officers in a motel parking lot on 7th. The police officers had responded to an unrelated disturbance call and while there, contacted Alex Carabollo, 32, who was smoking marijuana in the parking lot.

Detectives identified a second person, Samuel Braun, 31, as associated with Carabollo, plus a very strong odor of marijuana was emanating from their vehicle. Subsequently the detectives discovered five plastic garbage bags containing 40 pounds of pot.

Both men were cited to appear at a later date in Josephine County Circuit Court for unlawful possession and distribution of marijuana.
