A woman who was texting while she was driving her car required a transport to the hospital after she crashed her vehicle at 1024 S.E. M St. in Grants Pass at approximately 4:32 p.m. Tuesday.

The driver, Patricia Thibault, admitted to authorities that she was texting while she was driving and while she was in the process of texting she crashed into a power pole.

Thibault suffered a possible broken leg in the accident and was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

Officers cited Thibault for careless driving, driving uninsured and driving while using a mobile communication device.
