Bank robber sentenced to 70 months
A bank robber was sentenced in Josephine County Circuit Court today to five years and 10 months in prison for a bank robbery he perpetrated last December at the South Valley Bank on F Street in Grants Pass.

26-year-old Jeffrey Allen McCracken entered the bank, acted like he had a handgun, stole approximately $2,100 in cash and fled on foot towards the Grants Pass Parkway. Officers located him less than 20 minutes later exiting a bush near the Parkway and F Street and after a brief chase he was apprehended near the Grants Pass Shopping Center. McCracken was wearing a different outfit at the time of his apprehension and officers located clothes and a backpack that had been used in the robbery in the bush he had exited. No handgun was located.

McCracken previously pled guilty on Jan. 29 to second-degree robbery and second-degree burglary.
