RV destroyed by suspected arson
A 25-foot-long travel trailer was destroyed by fire that investigators believe may possibly be arson at approximately 8:49 a.m. Thursday at 1940 Southside Road.

According to Rural Metro Fire Marshal Mike Shaw, three engines and nine firefighters from Rural Metro and Grants Pass Fire Rescue responded to the fire within eight minutes and knocked down the blaze in less than 10 minutes.

The RV was totally destroyed by the flames and the suspicious fire is being investigated by the Oregon State Police Arson Unit.

Shaw said the RV was very old and full of junk and was likely not worth very much monetarily.

No injuries were reported from the incident.
