Robber held by witnesses and employees as he tries to draw gun
An alleged robber was attempting to pull a handgun on witnesses and employees at the Sportsman’s Warehouse in Medford while he was being detained.

The Medford Police Department says 19-year-old Shigh Anthone Davis entered the store, located at 1710 Delta Waters Road, at approximately 4:00 p.m. Thursday and stole a $40 pair of shoes. Two employees saw the theft and attempted to apprehend Davis outside of the store. A struggle ensued and Davis head-butted and bit both employees. More employees and two bystanders joined the scuffle. During the altercation Davis repeatedly reached for his waistband and said that he was going to kill everyone.

When officers arrived, they placed Davis in handcuffs and found a 9mm handgun concealed in his waistband. Police believe he was attempting to get the gun during the struggle but was unable due to the employees’ and witnesses’ actions.

Davis is being held on over $1 million bail in the Jackson County Jail on charges of first-degree robbery, first-degree theft, unlawful possession of a firearm, disorderly conduct and multiple other charges of theft, assault and harassment.
