Medford police arrest alleged bank robber
The Medford Police Department arrested a suspect who allegedly perpetrated multiple bank robberies.

On Saturday at approximately 3:10 p.m. police responded to the US Bank at 910 N. Phoenix Road for a duress alarm. The alleged robber, 30-year-old Christopher Ryan Wood, fled before officers arrived but while they were tracking down possible escape routes they located him and arrested him as he was getting into his car at the intersection of Creekview and Larson drives.

Police say the manner in which the robbery was performed was similar to previous robberies in January at the same US Bank and at the Sterling Savings Bank on Stewart Avenue.

Wood is charged with four counts of second-degree robbery and is being held on $4 million bail.
