Crater Renaissance Academy Likely Closed for the School Year
A large portion of Crater High School in Central Point will remain unusable for the remainder of the school year after a water main broke last weekend and flood the school.

The Crater Renaissance Academy, one of three small schools that make up the Crater complex, was the most heavily damaged when water seeped in between layers of flooring that were stacked on top of each other during renovation in the 1970’s.

The remainder of the school is set to open Tuesday with Renaissance Academy students shifted to other available space.

Officials have yet to decide how to make up for the lost school days.
